| CAP's Weatherization program weatherizes homes in Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties. This program helps families save money and keep warmer in the winter by eliminating general heat loss. | |||||||||||
| A home energy audit is conducted by a CAP Weatherization Field Technician to determine what energy measures would make the home more energy efficient. Some possible energy measures may include insulation being installed in the attic, floors and/or walls, caulking, weather-stripping, and window treatments. The work is completed by a bonded and insured contractor. | |||||||||||
| Applications for this program are taken year round. Single homes and multi-units may be weatherized, as well as mobile homes. Weatherization is available to both homeowners and renters. There are income guidelines to determine eligibility. | |||||||||||
