Volunteer Opportunities

  Volunteer Opportunities at CAP  
  (Mileage for CAP volunteers is reimbursed at 58.5 cents per mile and is tax exempt.)  
     
  Deliver Meals on Wheels  
  Deliver hot and frozen meals to homebound seniors and people living with disabilities. You provide not only a meal but a human connection. You may be the only person they see that day.   Volunteer Drivers  
  Provide rides to medical appointments, locally and/or out of town, for seniors and Medicaid eligible residents of our community. For more information call Valerie at 360-425-3430 x 236, or valeriem@LowerColumbiaCAP.org  
     
  Become an Advocate (Long Term Care Ombudsman)  
  As an advocate for residents in long term care facilities you conduct friendly visits, monitor the condition of the facilities and the care given to people, educate residents about their rights, and investigate & resolve complaints. Hours and days are flexible, free certification training is provided, and mileage reimbursement is available. We are now recruiting for the June training.
